A free cataract screening and eye check-up camp was organised by Shanti Kritnischay Seva Foundation at Hunterganj Community Hall.
Shanti Kritnischay Seva Foundation organised a free eye check-up camp on 12th August 2026 at Hunterganj Community Hall in association with district health officials.
A total of 450 patients were examined, 60 were diagnosed with cataracts and referred for free surgery under the foundation's Aankh Daan initiative. Spectacles were distributed to 180 elderly beneficiaries at nominal cost.
Dr. Meera Jha, who led the medical team, praised the villagers for coming forward and urged families to get elders screened before Diwali.
